"My wife and I were delighted with the photographs that Viv took on our wedding day. She captured the spirit and the feel of our small, intimate wedding exactly as we wanted, and we have many beautiful photos, both formal and casual, to remind ourselves of our special day in the years ahead."
Michael and Ariane, 14th May 2014

Finding the right wedding photographer is probably one of the hardest decisions facing any bridal couple as currently to every one florist, caterer or dress company in the market there are probably 10 photographers!

Literally anyone now can buy a good camera and describe themselves as a wedding photographer and many keen amateurs think they can do as well as the professionals, and there is always someone in the family that fits that description!

On selecting, make sure you like their style of photography and that they are experienced photographers with a proven track record. Also choose a photographer who has qualified with leading UK professional organisations i.e. the Master Photographers Association or Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and check their qualifications are legitimate by looking on the organisation's website.

Reduce your choice to about three and make appointments to see their work and also to judge their personality. Be very wary of too low quotes. Remember the total fee is for the photographer's expertise, the time involved at the prewedding meeting or engagement shoot, photography on the day and post production which could go into several days. I find it impossible to see how cheap photographers can survive without cutting corners.

I am an experienced woman photographer with a Licentiate qualification with both the Master Photographers Association and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and I find that most couples nowadays just prefer a good quality digital image, perhaps deciding on albums at a later stage. I am fully insured and always carry good back up equipment.
